AMBASSADORS INTERVIEW:

WHO INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?

My teammates.  Even when training is at it's toughest, there is no option to give up when you see your teammates around you giving it their all.

WHO'S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR SPORT?

My mum. Throughout my whole life my mum has been the biggest supporter (and financer) of my sport. I did highland dancing for around 13 years before taking up rowing and my mum was always driving me up and down the country to dancing competitions, sitting all day in halls or in fields (for the highland games) and funding me to do it all. She’s still my biggest supporter and there’s no way I’d have managed to get to where I am today without her.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE?

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” - Walt Disney

WHAT IS YOUR PRE-COMPETITION RITUAL?

The night before a big race I always paint my nails and put some fake tan on. Look good, feel good, row good! I also always have Nutella before racing, either on a bagel or in oats with banana.

WHAT SONG BEST DESCRIBES YOU?

Brown Eyed Girl. For no other reason than I have brown eyes.

WHICH ACTRESS WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY YOU IN YOUR LIFE FILM?

Kiera Knightely or Emma Watson.

5 THINGS YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT?

My mum, my phone, chocolate, good activewear and my boat.

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR SUCCESS?

Never giving up and enjoyment.

WHAT IS YOUR MANTRA AT THE MOMENT?

Try hard and believe in yourself.

WHAT LESSON DO YOU REFUSE TO LEARN?

Not leaving things to the last minute.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST QUALITY?

For sport, my determination. For life, my thoughtfulness.

SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I was a World Champion highland dancer before I started rowing at university.
