AMBASSADORS INTERVIEW:

WHO INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?

Kimberly Green and Sharni Layton – Both  netball players in Australia who have faced adversity and overcome it to be some of the best athletes in world netball.

WHO'S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR SPORT?

My family – they have been supporting me every step of the way throughout my netball journey and I would be nothing without them. They motivate and inspire me every day!

WHAT IS THE TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YOU HAVE HAD TO FACE SO FAR?

Probably overcoming some big knee injuries – I tore my Right ACL, MCL, Medial and lateral Meniscus on March 20th 2015 which lead to me having a big knee operation which took 9 months to recover from. I’ve also rehabbed a Chondrial Defect in my left knee during this season (2017-2018) which has been challenging in a very different way.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE?

“Champions are made when no one is watching.”

Coffee.

WHAT SONG BEST DESCRIBES YOU?

Rihanna – Hard

WHICH ACRESS WOULD PLAY YOU IN A MOVIE OF YOUR LIFE?

Mila Kunis

WHAT ARE 5 THINGS YOU COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT?

My family, netball, my eyelash extensions, blueberries, my phone

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR SUCCESS?

Determination and grit – the ability to never leave any stone unturned in terms of your preparation and the doggedness to deal with knockbacks.

Not leaving things to the last minute.

WHAT IS YOUR MANTRA AT THE MOMENT?

I have no idea!!!

WHAT LESSON DO YOU REFUSE TO LEARN?

Sarcasm isn’t appreciated by everyone.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST QUALITY?

Team spirit – I am all about the team and making sure everyone is felt supported.
